A rain pant is more like a rain jacket with pants. Keep in mind, you’ll still need a pair of rain pants to go with it if you’re going to be in some sort of downpour.
I did find these pants a little short and thick in the bottom, but they are extremely lightweight and comfortable. I also found the sizing a little challenging. But the price and performance make it a great value.
